社坛村属湛江市霞山区东新街道，前身为1956年成立的社坛小队[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
社坛小队设于1956年，由工农街道办事处的霞山农副业大队管理。1985年它成为社坛管理区，1995年管理区撤销、改设社坛村委会，并划入新兴街道。2003年调整辖区后，转由东新街道管辖[1]。
