海昌社区在湛江市霞山区，归海滨街道管辖，属主城区，隔邻是海宁社区[1]。名称取自辖区内的海昌路[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

2002年8月26日，霞山区调整社区设置，把原来的海昌、海景、观海三个居委会并为一个，称海昌社区居委会。到2005年3月，居委会的办公场所从海昌路26号搬到海昌路15号[1]。
