金田村位于湛江市赤坎区，隶属北桥街道，是街道辖下的行政村，统计用区划代码为440802008206。[1]据说村中土地肥沃、年年丰收，有“金田”之称，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

该村1980年设金田大队，1983年改称金田乡，1986年改设村委会，1989年称管理区，2000年起称金田村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，金田村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2023年11月与另外两村一并入选「首批典型县镇村」（广东“百千万工程”）；2024年1月被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」，同年4月进入首批省乡村振兴示范村的创建名单。[1]
