海棠社区是广东省湛江市赤坎区民主街道辖下的社区，属城乡分类中的主城区。社区因辖区内有海棠路穿过而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

海棠最初是1980年设立的大队，1983年称乡，1986年起设居委会，1989年一度称管理区，2002年又恢复为居委会，此后未再变动。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，海棠社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
