南方社区是赤坎区中华街道下辖的社区，属主城区。社区因辖区内有南方村而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

该地先后称大队（1980年）、乡（1983年）、居委会（1986年）和管理区（1989年）；2002年起为南方社区居委会的建制，沿用至今。[1]

2019年9月，南方社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
