大莲村是江门市恩平市那吉镇东南部的行政村（村民委员会设在大莲），东北与七星塘村相邻，南面隔着边界是大槐镇锦新村委会辖地。全村辖19条自然村，总面积17平方千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名取「大联合」之意，因「联」「莲」同音，又取莲字的生机之意而定。[1] 新中国成立初期（1950至1956年）这里是大莲区，之后改为乡。公社化后，五乡、坪塘各为一个生产大队，大莲另设大队。八十年代乡制恢复，1986年改设村委会，1998年10月由恩平市人民政府批复定为现名，2004年原五乡、坪塘两地并入。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域耕地3510亩，辖区内有大莲小学一所。[1] 由村道到那吉圩约7公里，经大槐镇锦新一带到国道G325线约3公里。[1] 2024年那吉镇安装太阳能路灯的公路，起点就在大莲村委会。[2]

经济[edit]

博雅地名网的村情介绍记有村内的金山，传说中叫「大肚老婆」，二十世纪中前期曾有人淘金，后因找不到新的矿脉而停止，矿洞仍在；该网站说，金山温泉度假村的「金山」二字即由此而来。[1] 这一说法出自地名网的介绍，未见其他资料印证。
