历史沿革[edit]
村名原作藜塘，相传因村前池塘形似犁，犁与藜谐音而得名，后写作黎塘。村中张氏先祖由河北迁至广东南雄珠玑巷，又迁开平沙岗，明嘉靖年间其中一支迁到黎塘定居。[3][4]1950至1957年间设黎塘乡；1958年改为生产大队；1986年设村民委员会，1989年又作管理区，到1998年10月9日获恩平市政府批准，正式定名为黎塘村民委员会。[1]
地理与人口[edit]
黎塘村位于君堂镇东部偏北，面积约5.25平方公里。博雅地名网所录村情称村内约有600多户、人口2300多人，耕地3300多亩；锦江河把辖区与325国道隔开，沿河有约4000亩土地待开发。[1][3]近年的报道则称，村里有8000多人，旅居国外的乡亲约4000人，超过九成的村民是侨眷；几处数字口径不同。[4]
侨乡与碉楼[edit]
19世纪中叶起，村里人多地少，不少青壮年前往北美、澳大利亚和东南亚谋生。[3]村中碉楼多建于1920至1930年代，出资者为村集体、华侨和港澳同胞，现存37座，36座保存完好；多为4至6层，楼顶有瞭望亭，四角有角堡，墙体用料有夯土、青砖和进口水泥。[3][4][5]建于1929年的天锡楼，一层曾是杂货铺；村史馆所在的宗谱楼，楼上曾写有“米铺”二字。[4]
村里在1924年已有客运公司，次年集资修成约7.5公里的公路，并购置风力抽水机用于灌溉；1930年，族人张新基在村中创办培正分校，后改名黎塘学校；黎塘月刊约创于1920年代，寄往省港澳及海外，1940年代末停办。[3][4]
文化设施[edit]
黎塘碉楼文化广场占地12350平方米，总投资375万元，2016年12月落成。[3]黎塘村史馆设在宗谱楼，2022年9月1日开馆，占地108.47平方米，设展览室、村史室和侨史室。[3]2017年11月，村里又建成张瑞芬纪念馆。[4]每年农历正月十七，村中有“抢炮”习俗。[3]
著名人物[edit]
张瑞芬（1904年12月—2003年9月），大兴村人，后随母亲赴美与父亲团聚，1931年进入美国林肯航空学校，1932年3月取得美国私人飞行执照，1935年取得商业飞行执照，曾在美国多地做飞行表演，为中国抗日战争募款。[3][4]

2022年1月，被确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2022年8月，列为「2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2023年5月，该村连福里、长湾村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2023年11月，入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」；2024年4月，入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
