良西镇是广东省江门市恩平市西北部的一个镇，面积121.75平方千米，东南靠圣堂镇和恩城街道，西面是大田镇，北面是牛江镇与开平市大沙镇。[1]2021年10月时辖1个社区、8个行政村，镇政府驻良西圩。[1][2]当地以种植沙葛、粉葛、木薯、马铃薯为特色，2019年取得“四薯之乡”集体商标；[3]镇内另有温泉旅游项目。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

良西之名源自清末民初的大良堡，后来称良西乡。[5]民国年间分属一区、二区，1950年至1956年属第三区。此后的变化依次是：1957年设良西乡，次年并入圣堂公社，再过两年另立良西公社，1984年称区公所，1986年建镇。[1][5]

地理环境[edit]

该镇在恩平市的西北角。[1]按博雅地名网所载，镇域在东经112度30分、北纬22度15分一带。[5]

人口民族[edit]

截至2019年末，全镇户籍人口23552人。[1]博雅地名网转引第七次全国人口普查的结果，称全镇人口约1.68万，在恩平市各街道、乡镇中排第9位。[5]

经济[edit]

良西是恩平市的主要粮食产区之一，山坡地多，土层深厚。[3]沙葛、粉葛、木薯、马铃薯合称良西“四薯”，种植历史较长；2019年国家知识产权局商标局核准“四薯之乡”集体商标，手工葛根粉制作技艺已是恩平市级非物质文化遗产项目（第七批）。[3]2021年，良西镇被列为「第三批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业镇」，产业为特色薯类。[5]

2024年，镇内9个村（居）合资办起福稻农垦公司，推出“福稻大米”品牌；早造水稻种植面积19620亩，“四薯”种植面积超过1万亩。[4]供销社的“四薯”加工厂生产西米薯粉、葛粉、金山芋粉等产品，并在龙安塘村委会前建有50多亩的示范基地。[4]良东村大湴村投资200万元建设水稻育秧中心。[4]据百度百科，2022年镇级财政收入为1741万元。[1]

旅游方面，良西泉都项目规划面积5000亩，镇内有五国温泉、佳源帝都温泉、花海欢乐世界等项目。[4]2025年，良西镇进入「广东省第三批典型镇」培育名单，当年还举办“四薯”美食之旅等圩日活动。[6]

良西圩是全镇的集市所在，社区居委会的前身是1978年设立的良西圩，今名定于1998年。[7]

名胜古迹[edit]

朱人凤古墓在龙山村委会一带，相传墓主朱人凤是恩平朱姓的始祖，元代进士。[5]吴光集墓在镇北部二十四行的龙潭九凸，吴光集是恩平吴姓的始祖，南宋乾道元年（1165）受任南恩州知军州事。[5]
