新莲村在广东省江门市鹤山市址山镇境内，是一个行政村，区划代码440784107215，位于址山镇墟，325国道从两侧经过，面积14.5平方千米。村委会由14个自然村、20个村小组组成，总人口3845人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由莲岗、莲塘两个村合并而来，各取一个「莲」字。[1][2] 清代属鹤山县附城都，民国时期属第四区；1958年归址山公社，称莲岗、莲塘大队；1983年称莲岗、莲塘乡；1986年称莲岗、莲塘管理区；1998年起为两个村委会，2004年9月2日合并为新莲村民委员会。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

村集体收入主要来自土地租赁和楼房出租，2009年为15万元，农村合作医疗参保率90%。[1] 村中的龙岗村获过「江门市标兵文明村」称号。[1]
