川西村是广东省台山市川岛镇的一个行政村，占据下川岛的西北部，村名即表示它在下川的西边。东面是独湾村，南面是芙湾村，北面隔海与海宴镇相望。[1][2] 现在的村委会是2004年8月由浐湾、荔枝湾两个村合并组成的，驻地在浐湾，离镇办事处7千米。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域面积18.12平方千米，有7条自然村。[1][2] 土地以水田、岗地为主，耕地1240亩，林地2270亩；滩涂有浐湾的咸围和荔枝湾的沙白场。[1][2]
人口[edit]
百度百科记载全村439户，1663人。[1]
经济[edit]
农作物主要是稻谷，其次是花生和番薯；当地出产大香蕉和天然蜂蜜。[1][2] 村集体把海域和滩涂发包出去，以此增加收入。[1]
2019年，川西村入选2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；两年后的2021年12月，它成为广东省卫生村。到2023年，浐湾新村的雨水和污水分流工程（二期）已在收尾，另一项改善村里小型集中供水的工程也在进行。[1]
