地理环境[edit]
社区地势三面是山、一面临海，海湾的轮廓近似半个月亮。港湾北侧有乌榄洲、庙洲和洲仔三个小岛，「三洲」之名即由此而来。[1]
辖区约5平方千米，有三洲村、大江村两条自然村，另有两个居民区。[1]
经济[edit]
居民大多以打鱼和种田为生，也有一部分人经商或跑运输。[1] 据2023年的报道，社区把部分海域和滩涂发包经营，增加了集体收入。[2]
交通[edit]
来往上川岛的轮渡由大陆上的山咀港开出，停靠三洲港码头，单程约半小时。[3]
近年建设[edit]
据南方都市报2026年的报道，川岛镇在圩镇改造中把三洲圩沿街的架空管线改为地下敷设，翻新了三洲海滨绿美公园，又把上川岛从三洲到飞沙滩的一段道路作为展示海上丝绸之路风光的廊道来打造；三洲港片区被列为全镇圩镇建设的示范片区。[4]
