沙头冲村是广东省台山市北陡镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的北部、镇海湾大桥旁边，东面是镇海湾，南面连着西部沿海高速公路的北陡出口，离镇政府约4千米。[2][3]

全村面积4.6平方千米，有6条自然村，镇政府2026年公布有692户、2576人。村中的沙头冲圩是北陡镇四个圩市之一。2020年，「国家耐盐碱水稻（江门）试验基地」在村里设立。[2][1][5]

地理环境[edit]

村子临海，近岸一带是咸水与淡水交汇的水域。[1] 按2026年的数字，全村耕地2177亩，其中水稻田1938.67亩；另有山地3997亩、海滩300亩、咸围1340亩和红树林470亩。[2] 村委会设在原沙头冲小学的校舍。[1][3]

镇政府2026年公布的人口为692户、2576人，百度百科所记为713户、2634人。[2][1] 较早的资料列出8条自然村，比现在多出长庆和叶坑。[3]

经济[edit]

这里属围田地区，耕地以种水稻为主，畜禽多养生猪，也养鸡。[2] 村民养蚝的面积约1340亩，并建有约110亩的黄晶果种植基地。[1] 沙头冲圩逢4、9日为圩期。[2]

耐盐碱水稻试验

台山沿海的田地长期受海水倒灌影响，土壤含盐多，普通稻种难以种植。为了选育能在这类田里生长的新品种，2020年在沙头冲村建起了耐盐碱水稻试验基地，由国家耐盐碱水稻创新中心、广东德天农业科技有限公司和广东省农科院水稻研究所三方共同设立。据2025年4月的报道，国家南方耐盐碱水稻区域试验已连续四年在这里进行，基地累计筛选育种材料两万三千份，育成「广红3号」「菁两优3261」等品种；央视节目《多情的土地》也介绍过这里的插秧和选种工作。[5]

2022年11月22日，专家在北陡镇对一片百亩示范田测产，新选育的杂交稻「爽两优138」种在土壤盐度约0.5%的田里，平均亩产412.1公斤。[6] 镇里2024年的报道把这片田的含盐量写作0.6%，并说北陡的这处试验基地由生产示范区（1170亩）、大田试验区（300亩）和核心科研区（30亩）组成，合计1500亩；企业还承包了351.9亩撂荒地改作试验田。[4] 百度百科记基地面积为100公顷。[1]

沙头冲村还被列为广东省「百千万工程」第二批典型村。[1]
