大步头村是广东省台山市北陡镇下辖的行政村，在镇的北端，西边靠山，东边临镇海湾，离镇政府约5千米。村名来自村前河边修有的一道大石阶，当地把这种临水的台阶叫作「步头」。[1][2]
全村面积2.05平方千米，镇政府2026年公布有386户、1454人。2017年，大步头村被评为全国绿色村庄和广东省卫生村。[2][1]

镇政府2026年的概况记全村有4条自然村；百度百科则说全村只有大步头、马髻山两条自然村，合编为1个村民小组，人口385户、1430人。[2][1]
地理环境[edit]
村子地处镇海湾西岸的围田地带。按2026年的数字，有耕地1326.15亩（其中水稻796亩），山地1032亩，红树林390亩，海滩450亩，咸围1100亩。[2] 百度百科所记的耕地则为750亩。[1]
经济[edit]
田里主要种稻谷、花生和番薯，农户兼养鸡。[2] 海边养殖牡蛎、虾和蟹，其中牡蛎是本村的特产。[1] 村集体经济在2019年的总收入为134.71万元。[1]
近年来，村里提升了农房风貌，把撂荒的耕地重新种上庄稼，修建了党建主题公园和一批便民设施，并发展光伏发电。[1] 2024年，镇里出资185万元，将村中的团结桥作为危桥完成改建。[3]
