上头村是广东省台山市汶村镇下辖的行政村，在镇的东北部，东邻凤村，西面隔着一条河与汶村相望，北面与太平接壤[1][2]。村委会设在上源村和苏元村的交界处，离鱼地圩约2千米，离台城约83千米[1]。据镇政府网站的村情资料，全村有3137人[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，这里属新宁县海宴都；民国时期设上头乡，归台山县第九区管辖[1]。1958年称上头大队，1988年改为管理区，1999年改设村委会[1]。

地理环境[edit]

村境为低丘陵地带，有山林1860亩[1]。耕地共2685亩，以水田居多，计1900亩，旱地785亩[1][2]。2021年初公布的广东省卫生村名单中有本村的苏元村[3]。

经济[edit]

当地主要种植稻谷和番薯，家禽以鹅为主[1]。村集体的收入多来自发包砖厂，2009年为5.89万元[1][2]。在汶村镇的规划中，上头村与汶村一起，围绕西南工业园区发展产业配套服务[4]。
