淡村是广东省江门市台山市台城街道西部的行政村（村委会名称为淡村村委会），办公地点在水西文化楼。村子西面和北面都与白沙镇的冲云村交界，东面是圆山村委会（即元山村），南面是岭背村。[1]
全村面积4.08平方千米，下辖20个村民小组；2025年12月户籍人口1928人，合575户。[1] 村里以农业为主，传统特产是「淡村毛笔」，制笔盛行的年代，长盛村差不多每户都做毛笔。[1]
经济[edit]
农业以水稻和蔬菜为主，兼营水面养殖。[1] 2024年8月，村里注册了一家「强村公司」，名为台山淡云绿美农业科技有限公司。[1]
地理环境[edit]
813路公交车经过淡村。村里有卫生站、农贸市场、休闲公园和图书阅览室各一处，公厕11间，道路全部硬化，自来水已通到各村。[1] 2025年村里按绿化规划种下六百多棵苗木，品种有落羽杉、宫粉紫荆、海南红豆和金蒲桃等。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
2019年，水西、直坑、群厚、大富田四条自然村获评广东省卫生村；2020年，淡村村委会获评广东省卫生村和台山市文明村，海潮、凤坑、毛岗三村也在同年获评广东省卫生村。[1]
