金宁社区在佛山市南海区丹灶镇东部，2003年6月成立，辖区原为金沙镇城区所在，面积约0.98平方公里。[1]

沿革[edit]

社区位于桂丹路与樵金公路交汇处，原是南海区金沙镇的城区；金沙镇并入丹灶后，成为丹灶镇规划中的次中心。[1]2003年成立南海区金沙镇金宁社区。[2]

人口与设施[edit]

常住4000余人，含户籍1505人，暂住者2500余人；辖内有中学、小学、镇级医院、农贸市场、丹灶行政服务中心，以及面积35000平方米的金宁文化公园。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2009年被评为「广东省六好和谐社区」；2010年又获「全国减灾综合示范社区」「佛山市宜居社区」。[1]
