春湖社区在汕头市龙湖区金霞街道境内，地处龙湖区中心，位于原龙湖村的东侧，被博雅地名网转载的社区简介称为“城中村”[1]。社区从龙湖村划出，名称由“春意盎然”的“春”字加“湖”字组成[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1989年，为办汕头经济特区，当地一次性征地，村民由农民转为居民。原龙湖村的各自然村被分成三个居委会，春湖居委会即其一，获上级同意后，在1990年3月5日挂牌成立[1]。

追溯更早的行政归属：民国时期，这里属澄海县第三区；1949年后先属澄海县下蓬区，1958年划入汕头市郊区，1980年归珠池公社。1984年设龙湖乡，1987年撤乡建村为龙湖村委会，次年改为龙湖居委会，1990年再一分为三[2]。1992年7月归龙湖街道，2001年龙湖街道并入金霞街道，2002年有了现名[2]。
