碧湖社区在汕头市龙湖区金霞街道境内，属主城区，由原龙湖村划出[1]。名称中的“碧”取“碧玉生辉”之意，再与“湖”字合成[1]。博雅地名网载，它与玉湖社区一样，于2019年9月列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期这里属澄海县第三区，1958年划入汕头市郊区。1984年设龙湖乡，1987年为龙湖村委会，1988年为龙湖居委会，1990年该居委会拆成碧湖、春湖、玉湖三个[2]。碧湖居委会1992年7月起归龙湖街道，2001年随之并入金霞街道，2002年称碧湖社区居民委员会[2]。
