大海环一带原是海滩和河涌，1921年围垦造田，形成聚落。[1]

地名由来[edit]

聚落所处位置与孖髻山、南新、竹场山等连成山湾之形，四面环海，因称大海环。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，大海环社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
