布吉社区是深圳市龙岗区布吉街道的城中村社区，2006年6月设立工作站，辖区面积约0.6平方千米，下设老圩、何屋、李屋、格塘、布吉一村五个居民小组。[1][2]

地名由来与荣誉[edit]

社区因辖区内的布吉行政村得名。博雅地名网载，传说三百多年前，布吉圩西边有个叫莆隔的村子，客家话里「莆」与「布」音近，清中叶被叫成布隔村，村南的丰和圩则开设于公元1852年（咸丰二年）。广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单于2019年9月公布，布吉社区榜上有名。深圳市住房和建设局在2022年3月公布首批绿色（宜居）社区名单，它在列。[4]

社区概况[edit]

社区主体在大坪路以南、宝丽路以北，夹在布吉老街与莲花山庄之间，西环路的盘龙村、东心岭等片也归它管。10个住宅小区是：大坪果园、窝吓龙、东心岭、盘龙、百花、老圩、何屋、李屋、格塘和布吉一村老围。[1]

2020年6月的数据显示，辖区有房屋2257栋、股份合作公司5家、约有一千七百家小型商铺。[1] 东心岭、格塘在数据中另列为未归入行政村的自然村。[1]

据博雅地名网木棉湾社区一条，原布吉社区居委会在2006年6月一分为四，即布吉、南三、大芬和木棉湾。[3]
