历史沿革[edit]

善塘在1952年8月设善塘乡，1956年12月与缠良、天中两乡合并为光中乡，1958年1月光中乡撤销后并入沙田乡。[1] 据博雅地名网，1959年这里分设钱塘、矛花、善冢三个大队。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，善塘村列入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
