名称与沿革[edit]
相传因村里人口多、占地广，许多村落聚在一起，称作大群。[1]新中国成立初设大群乡，1958年为大群大队，1983年大群乡政府，1986年成村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年复称村委会。[1]村委会2008年迁到新址。[1]
经济[edit]
全村常住人口2381人，均为农业人口，耕地418亩；2009年农村经济总收入1416万元，人均纯收入4486元。[1]前有坪乳公路，后靠京珠高速公路，乳源富源工业园就建在村域内。[1]
大群以种杨桃出名。据县政府网站，2025年全村杨桃种植面积66.67公顷，种植户60户，每公顷产量约4.5万斤，果农收入最高的一户每年能有60万元；村里与合作社、镇区企业合作开发杨桃汁，年产10万罐，并在规划中与东坪镇雕子塘串联成游览线路。[2]
荣誉[edit]
司法部、民政部2015年3月表彰的「第六批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」中有大群村；2026年3月，它又被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
