历史沿革[edit]
1949年至1957年，这里是西锦乡；1958年至1983年改称西锦大队；1983年复称乡，1986年起为村委会；1993年改称西锦管理区，1998年改名西锦村委会，名称沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
西锦村于2024年3月获评「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
近况[edit]
据翁源县融媒体中心2026年10月的报道，西锦村在第四批“百千万工程”典型村建设中，拓宽进村主干道，清理村委会周边和白泥湾片区的杂物并硬化场地，还规划建设休闲广场、篮球场和露营点位。[2]
