黄坑是黄坑镇镇区所在的社区，镇政府驻黄坑墟镇。[1] 地名见于清代，当时这里属韶州府曲江县平甫司；因境内多黄土，又有河流穿过，涨水时水色偏黄，故称黄坑。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，黄坑社区进入广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之列。[1]

县政府网站记，黄坑镇区的府前路被改造为示范主街，周边外立面和坡屋顶一并提升，形成米黄与丹霞红相配的风貌；百顺河穿过圩镇的一段建有滨水景观和生态健身公园。[3]
