历史沿革[edit]

村子海拔较高，山高水冷，据地名资料常年气温比平原地带低3至5摄氏度，当地有「菜煮好了饭却凉了」的说法，村名由此而来。[1]

2019年9月，冷饭坑村列入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
