名称来由：因居委会驻地在乳韶路旁而得名。[1] 乳韶居委会是1990年由芙蓉北居委会分设的，2002年6月起称社区居委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区南靠芙蓉山脚，北到工业西路，西到西郊六公里处，区内道路为建设路、乳韶路和工业西路。驻区单位较多：政府部门有市气象局、市检察院和劳动保障局，卫生机构有疾病预防控制中心、粤北第二人民医院和药品检验所，科研单位有林科所、农科所，学校有第九中学、卫生学校和镇泰小学，企业有利民制药厂和宏大齿轮厂。[1]
