辖区内有大型住宅小区合和新城，社区以此命名[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，合和社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；市住建部门在2021年11月把它列为「广州市2021年绿色社区」，2024年11月它又进入广州市充分就业社区名单[1]。街道的介绍还提到，合和社区在2024年得到市级道路交通安全文明示范单位的称号[2]。
