东莞村是广州市花都区新雅街道辖下的行政村，位于凤凰路旁，面积约5平方千米，下辖6个村民小组[1]。
地名由来[edit]
该村早期以姚姓立村，名宁远村，村中有宁远墟，市场兴旺，吸引东莞一带的商人前来经商并定居，后来村名改为东莞村[1][2]。
历史沿革[edit]
1950年4月，东庄、黑坭庄两处划给石塘村。1958年起先后成立高级社和大队，1983年称东莞乡，1987年隶属新华区公所，后属新华镇，2013年12月根据粤民区〔2013〕18号文划归新雅街道[2]。
经济与荣誉[edit]
村集体经济靠引入厂房出租，形成工业带动商业的格局[1]。东莞村在2021年和2022年列入淘宝村名单，2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号[1]。
