田美村在广州市花都区新华街道，位于花都新城区，是街道的附城村。村在青石河与田美河之间，水源充足、土地肥沃，故名田美。全村面积约5.6平方千米，邻近花都区政府和花果山公园。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网记载，朱、邓两姓从南雄珠玑巷来此定居，建村于南宋绍兴年间（博雅地名网写作「绍兴六年（1131年）」，干支年份与公元年不一致，这里只取朝代与年号）；后来朱姓迁走，杜、刘两姓迁入。[1]

1958年，村里先有新星、明星、宝田三个高级社；1963年合为田美大队，其后改乡（1983年）、改村委会（1985年）。1987年起属新华区公所、新华镇人民政府，2005年起隶属新华街道办事处。[1]

人口[edit]

博雅地名网引述的村情介绍写道，全村2282户、农业人口7001人，分7个经济社、28个生产队；党员169人（该介绍未注明统计年份，其中的收入数字截至2006年）。[1]

经济[edit]

村、社两级的收入主要来自土地和厂房出租：2005年为1954万元，2006年为2500万元。[1]

辖区内的田美新里特色商业街区，入选广东「百千万工程」2024年度实践案例。[3]

姓氏宗族[edit]

田美村有杜、刘、邓等姓。刘氏宗祠在2007年11月落成，庆典连办三天；田美邓氏与刘氏的先祖是翁婿，北帝古庙是杜、刘、邓三姓共有的大庙，2018年2月重修落成。1984年，村里集资办学，是花县集资办学的先例。[2]

著名人物[edit]

刘凤翔，光绪二十年甲午恩科会试第三名；杜湛津，1948年1月任花县县长，后移居香港；刘爱琴（原国家主席刘少奇的长女）2009年11月曾到田美刘氏宗祠参观。[2]
