南郊村是广州市番禺区桥南街道下辖的行政村，在市桥河南岸、桥南街道西北部，东南与陈涌村相邻，西面是沙湾的龙岐村。辖区面积约2.3平方千米[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名来自村委会所在地南郊。1957年已称南郊，1987年建村民委员会，隶沙湾镇；1993年沙湾镇改设街道，该村随之归沙湾街道，2002年3月划归桥南街道[1]。另据区政府介绍，1981年1月该村一度划入市桥镇管辖[2]。村民来自各地，最初是到此租种土地的农民，沿河涌基围搭屋聚居，世居姓氏有黄、梁、黎、陈、彭、卢、王、周、谢、何、郭等几十个，少有宗族关系[2]。

人口与经济[edit]

早年的人口资料为户籍2640人、749户，分5个自然村[1]；2022年末，村中有户籍居民3230人、外来人员8016人[2]。村以种水稻、甘蔗和养塘鱼为业。1980年市桥大桥与市良公路建成后，市桥的一些工厂迁来村内；1992年村土地全部征用，已无耕地，收入主要靠出租厂房、店铺和房屋[1][2]。1999年起建成别墅新村A、B区，共580户[1]。村内有南郊公园、老年活动中心、图书阅览室和占地2300平方米的农贸市场[1]。

文化[edit]

村毗邻市桥河，农历五月初一至初七举行游龙活动。2020年，桥南街道以南郊村为对象打造龙舟文化与法治文化相结合的村级项目，并设龙舟文化墙，展示历年参赛图片和奖项[2]。南郊村已被评为番禺区美丽乡村，2026年1月入选广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
