长平社区是广州市黄埔区长岭街道的社区，由原长平村改设，位于街道东北部，辖东风、高田等经济合作社。[1] 地铁21号线长平站在辖区内。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，长平在1959年归萝岗人民公社管辖，起初叫长平营，其后改称生产大队；1984年大队改乡，1986年底乡一分为三，即长平、黄登、黄麻。[3] 博雅地名网记载，社区居委会成立于2004年，百度百科则写作2005年4月撤村改居，两处说法不一。[1][3] 社区原属萝岗区萝岗街道，2015年随萝岗区并入黄埔区，2018年改归长岭街道。[1][3] 「长平」之名，博雅地名网释为寓意平安恒久。[3]

地理环境[edit]

百度百科称，社区东邻岭头社区，南接水西社区，西至白云区，北与增城区相接，位于沈海高速与广汕公路的交会处。[1] 撤村改居时辖区面积约13.6平方千米，另一处资料写作约10平方千米。[1]

人口民族[edit]

2024年，社区旧村改造范围内的人数为2789人。[1]

文化[edit]

长岭国家登山健身步道的中部功能区在长平和黄登一带，长平是步道的三个主出入口之一。[4] 2024年11月，社区被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[3]
