历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，博雅地名网称最初在此定居的村民姓黄，「登」取不断登高之意，寓意生活越来越好。[1] 1986年12月，长平乡分设长平、黄登、黄麻三个乡。[4] 社区设于2005年4月，2014年改属黄埔区，2018年自萝岗街道划归长岭街道。[1]
经济[edit]
2021年，长岭街道水西社区（长龙片）和黄登社区的城市更新项目在街道内率先启动公建配套建设。[3] 步道的中部功能区在长平、黄登一带，称为林水体验区。[2]
