沙步社区在广州市黄埔区南岗街道，由原来的沙步村转制而成，辖区约4.1平方千米，南面同广州开发区、保税区相邻，广深公路从中穿过。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

「沙步」由沙涌村和鹿步村各取一字合成。[1] 社区自2002年设立时起沿用此名。[1] 社区下辖鹿步、沙涌、三南三个自然片和14个经济社。[2]

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网所载概况写道：耕地13.3公顷，山林地33.33公顷；户籍人口6044人，外来流动人口则多达38749人。[2]

经济[edit]

概况中说，社区内有140多家中小企业；2007年社会生产总值20716万元，集体经济总收入5465万元，居民人均收入12306元，人均股份分红4979元。[2] 同一年，社区启动了沙步无纺布商业中心的建设。[2] 2024年，广东省人民政府批复同意将沙步各股份经济（合作）社名下0.3388公顷集体建设用地征收为国有建设用地，纳入沙步旧村改造项目的范围。[3]

文化[edit]

鹿步大街一带的融德里是岭南滨水历史文化街区，紧邻鹿步滘古运河，面积约6万平方米，2024年12月评为国家3A级旅游景区。[4] 黄埔区传统风貌建筑保护名录中，沙步社区列有鹿步大街、沙涌大街、小塘前街等处的祠堂、家塾、民居和沙涌村古井。[5]
