东湖新村社区是广州市越秀区白云街道下辖的社区，居委会设在东湖公园旁，故以东湖新村为名。东湖新村1982年竣工，居委会1988年定下现名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1982年东湖新村建成，最初的居委会叫白云街第十二居委会；1988年改称东湖新村居委会，此后未再更名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年，社区先后获得两项称号：8月入选国家卫生健康委老龄司公布的全国示范性老年友好型社区，11月由广州市住房和城乡建设局确定为绿色社区。到2024年，又有两项：1月被定为2023年度的广东省民主法治示范村（社区），11月被认定为广州市高质量就业社区。[1]
