祖庙前社区是广州市越秀区珠光街道下辖的城市社区，属主城区[1]。清代这里有祖庙前街，街的北侧在清代后期建有一座民间小庙，供奉吕祖，称祖庙，20世纪20年代因修建珠光路而拆除，社区以街名为名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1954年设立珠光街第五居委会，之后历经东风管理区第七居委会、第五居民区、第八居委会等称呼，1988年起称祖庙前居委会，名称一直使用到现在；1998年，同乐坊居委会成为其中一部分。[1]
