菜寮社区是广州市越秀区黄花岗街道下辖的社区，名称来自当地早年的菜地。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

这一带原是种菜的农田，菜农住的是用竹片和木材搭成的简陋小屋，俗称“菜寮”，社区因此得名。[1]社区的源头，是1953年之前设立的黄花岗第五居委会；1985年5月街道把它拆为五个，其中一个自1987年起称菜寮居委会。[1]2002年，菜寮居委会与东风东路居委会合并，仍叫菜寮；2005年东山区并入越秀区，社区改归越秀区的黄花岗街道。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，菜寮社区由广州市住建部门评定为2021年度的广州市绿色社区；2024年11月，入选2024年度广州市充分就业社区名单。[1]
