科苑社区是广州市越秀区黄花岗街道下辖的社区，因辖区内有中国科学院广州分院而得名。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

“科苑”与“科院”读音相同，社区以此命名。[1]1953年的第四居委会是它的源头，当时隶属东山区的黄花岗街道；科苑居委会设于1976年，到2005年东山区并入越秀区，改属越秀区的黄花岗街道。[1]

荣誉与社区建设[edit]

科苑社区于2019年9月榜上有名，列入广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，2021年11月由广州市住建部门评定为2021年度的广州市绿色社区，2024年11月又入选2024年度广州市充分就业社区名单。[1]2024年，社区利用“民生微实事”项目完成了墙面彩绘。[2]
