沙基社区是广州市荔湾区岭南街道辖下的社区，居委会设在沙基东约32号。[1]社区位于旧称“沙基”的一带，因此得名；1925年的沙基惨案即发生在沙基。[1][2]

沙基惨案[edit]

1925年6月23日，广州各界群众十余万人集会游行，声援上海五卅运动，队伍行经沙基时遭沙面租界的英国军警枪击，英、法军舰亦开炮；据不完全统计，约50人死亡，170余人重伤。[2]沙基旧地现立有“毋忘此日”纪念碑。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

博雅地名网还列有陈少白广州故居，即沿江西路的塔影楼，为四层半的中西合璧建筑。[1]

荣誉[edit]

广州市住建部门于2021年11月将其列入当年的绿色社区名单；2024年广州市充分就业社区名单于2024年11月公布，社区在列。[1]
