黄岐村又称上黄岐村，位于沙埕港南端的突出部，三面临海，一面背山，辖东山、西山、上城3个自然村，村域面积约7.5平方千米。[1]

据博雅地名网，此地开辟前为光秃山头，日出时山面泛黄，村名由此而来。[3]
地理环境[edit]
村落位于太姥山下，东面濒临大海，村中民居依山势逐级而上，多为石头屋。[1]
村域内有七星岛和鸟岛两个岛屿。鸟岛为市级鸟类自然保护区，岛上聚集着大量海鸟；西星岛已无人居住，附近有少量渔民养殖贝类。[1]
