兰田村位于福鼎市东部，东接前岐镇大岳村，南连南乾村，西与百胜村相邻，北接南阳村，村域处在福鼎工业园区双岳项目区内。[1]

地名由来[edit]

早先此处有一座亭子，那时这一带出产蚶类海产，地名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年起用兰田村的名字，归属桐山区的梅溪小公社。1958年改称兰田生产大队，1984年隶属百胜乡，由桐城区公所代管。1987年成立兰田村民委员会，归桐城乡。1992年到1998年属桐城镇，1998年并入山前街道办事处。[1]

2022年3月，村被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[1]

村民的主要产业有蔬菜、茶叶、水果和服务业。县道沙吕线贯穿全境。[1][2]
