南岸村处于白云山脉北麓的山区，位于坂中畲族乡北部，北面与社口镇相邻，东面连着城阳镇。村子距乡政府驻地约11公里，是一处历史悠久的古村落。[1]

村内耕地面积为592多亩，林地面积为1978多亩，地处交溪支流一带。[1]

人口民族[edit]

全村212户、738人，分为5个村民小组，姓氏来源较为多样，邻里相处和睦。党支部有党员21名，其中女党员4名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村里走出过烈士2名，另有老革命者12人，红色记忆在村中保存至今。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

王石土烈士故居与蔡襄纪念堂都在村中。此外还有千年古刹兴国寺、福山宫，以及一座清代书院；古官道与古驿站遗址也保存在村内。[1]

经济[edit]

村里设立了农业种养专业合作社，推广「稻鱼共生」的生态种养模式，产业发展的同时也带动了乡村旅游。[1]
