地名由来[edit]

村委会驻地前有一块石头，形似马头，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子的沿革较早：1929年成立马头乡，1946年改为马头保，1960年成为马头生产大队，1984年变为马头村委会。[1]

人口[edit]

全村有546户户籍村民，户籍人口1946人。另有外来人员约350人，以及约620名连家船民。[1]

地理环境与经济[edit]

全村耕地970亩，山地2342亩，森林覆盖率达92%。主要产业为葡萄种植、养殖和务工。[1]

荣誉[edit]

村庄获评「市级文明乡村」，并获「2021年度福建省乡村振兴实绩突出村」称号。[2]
