池头村位于福安市湾坞镇北部偏远山区，海拔560米，是一个少数民族村，辖区面积约4平方千米，下辖7个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村前原有一口大水池，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年时村子隶属炉山乡。1960年组建池头生产大队，1966年7月改由湾坞公社的福岭生产大队管辖，1979年又恢复为池头生产大队。1984年改为村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子东面与赛岐镇泰康村接壤，北面与赛岐镇桃洋村接壤，西面与白莲村相邻，南面与福岭村相邻。村内森林覆盖率在85%以上。[1]

经济[edit]

全村田地340亩，山地460亩，产业以茶叶、油茶为主，兼有橘橙和花生，特色产业为畲药。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

村庄获评「五星级基层党组织」，并被评为「优秀基层党组织」。[2]
