溪尾镇是福建省宁德市福安市下辖的镇，位于市境南部沿海，东面与霞浦县接壤，南隔盐田港与霞浦县盐田畲族乡相望。全镇辖新溪社区和14个行政村。[1][4]

镇政府驻溪尾村。第七次全国人口普查登记的2020年11月1日常住人口为8831人，在福安市22个乡镇（街道）中属于不足1万人的一类。[3][5]

历史沿革[edit]

1929年设绣溪乡，隶属黄岐区。此后名称屡有变动：1946年改为山溪乡，1949年称溪尾保，1950年改为溪尾乡。溪尾公社于1966年8月设立，1984年又改回乡制，1992年6月4日改为镇。[1][3]

镇名取自所在的溪口，镇境临近钱塘溪入海处。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

镇境地形呈四角湾状，由沿海、平原、半山区和山区组成，最高处海拔598米，最低处仅5米。境内有溪尾溪、赤溪溪、坑元溪和梅洋溪四条水系，海岸线长18.3公里，总面积57.1平方千米。[1][3]

气候属亚热带海洋性季风气候，常年平均气温在13.6至19.8℃之间。[1][3]

境内有国道228线经过，福温铁路穿过镇域，宁上高速在镇内有一处互通口。[3]

人口[edit]

第七次全国人口普查的分乡镇数字显示，2020年溪尾镇常住人口8831人，较2010年减少，是全市13个人口减少的乡镇（街道）之一。[5]

与之相对，2018年的户籍人口为18635人，两个数字分别属于常住与户籍两种统计口径。[3]

经济[edit]

沿盐田港一带的水域从事海水养殖，主要品种有大黄鱼、鲈鱼、对虾、牡蛎、紫菜等。[2]

陆地上以水稻、甘薯、龙眼、枇杷、葡萄等作物为主；乡镇企业早年涉及农机、瓷器、冷冻、茶叶初制和船舶修造等行业。[2]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，省级爱卫部门把溪尾镇列为「福建省卫生乡镇」。[1]
