下洋村位于潭头镇北部山区，村内有七个自然村，离镇政府驻地约22.7公里，离福安市区约38公里[1]。

地名由来[edit]

村后有一块洋田，故名下洋[1]。

人口与自然环境[edit]

荣誉与沿革[edit]

2019年12月，下洋村入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。2021年11月，村里获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号[1]。1950年隶属第九区下洋乡，1958年设大队，归上白石公社领导，1969年改由潭头公社管辖，1984年大队改设为村委会，沿用至今[1]。
