棠溪村位于潭头镇中部，离福安城区约18公里。博雅地名网称该村人口在福安市上半区的独村中最多，且村内没有下属自然村[1]。
地名与人口[edit]
村庄位于棠溪河边，村名由此而来[1]。博雅地名网记载全村667户、2803人，未注明统计年份[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
阮伯淇烈士故居位于村内上官巷路12号，建于清道光年间（1821年至1850年），属近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑[1]。阮伯淇1918年出生于棠溪村一个小商人家庭，1932年毕业于棠溪完小，后投身革命[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2014年，棠溪村获评「全国最美休闲乡村」；2015年10月列入「福建省第一批省级传统村落」[1]。2016年5月，省政府把棠溪村列为「第五批福建省历史文化名镇名村」[1]。2019年6月列入「第五批中国传统村落」名录，同年12月列入「第一批国家森林乡村」名单[1]。2025年3月，棠溪村被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」[1]。
沿革[edit]
1950年隶属第九区棠溪乡。1958年设大队，归上白石公社领导，1969年改由潭头公社管辖。1984年大队改设为村委会，沿用至今[1]。
