光夏村位于咸村镇东北部，地处高山地带，平均海拔460米，属革命老区基点村。[1][2]

村中以茶叶、毛竹与水果为主要产业，村民收入也多靠这几项。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，光夏村始祖于明成化二年（1466年）从古田县杉洋迁来，原村名「汤夏山」，后改为光夏。[3]

村落在1958年成为大队，1985年才设立村委会。[2]
