本村地处寿宁县东南方、竹管垅乡北边，离乡政府约2.5公里；村内有山后、坑头两个自然村。全村385户，常住人口437人。[1][2][3]

旧称望德后洋，后因居于花眉垱岗后一小盆地，改称后洋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

姜氏为最早居民，于明洪武年间（1368年至1398年）从南阳岭迁入。[1]

民国前期此地属岱阳保，后期改属花眉墩保；1949年战乱期间自设后洋保，土改时归第二区坑底林乡。1958年归竹管垅公社，编为后洋大队；1984年公社改乡，村委会仍称江后村委会；1994年江岔自然村分出，后洋另设村委会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

全村地域面积7850亩，是乡里重要的茶叶产地之一。村内作物以水稻、甘薯和马铃薯为主，山后一带的马铃薯最为出名。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，本村获「2023年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
