司前村位于坑底乡东南部，距乡主镇区13千米，东距浙江省泰顺县城关15千米[1]。全村辖4个自然村，共6个村民小组、265户914人[1]。杨梅洲峡谷国家森林公园的部分范围位于本村所在的坑底乡境内[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

村子原名芦花池。明朝在村后设立巡检司，管理官台山及附近银矿的开采与税收，因村子位于巡检司之前，遂改称司前。明朝前期此地隶属政和县，寿宁设县后划归寿宁县[1]。

地理环境[edit]

杨梅洲峡谷国家森林公园位于坑底乡与景山林场辖区之内，规划总面积3322.73公顷，森林覆盖率96.28%。峡谷长约14千米，深60米至350米，水位落差近50米[1][2]。
