地理环境[edit]
全村总面积7.94平方千米，山地约13560亩，森林覆盖率72.6%。村域位于赛江上游，江流穿境而过。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
赛江在南澳村与南澳洋村之间的河段形成一座江心岛，俗称“溪心岛”，岛旁岸边有几处小潭，古榕树的根从岸边盘曲而上。每年约有近两千只白鹭在河滩繁衍。[1]
人口与民族[edit]
村民以李、林、温、朱等姓为主，另有黄、叶、杨、柳、兰、钟、范、邱、雷、江等十多个姓氏。其中畲族68户、282人。[1]
经济[edit]
村中以种植业为主，茶园约850亩、毛竹450亩，另养肉猪150余头。茶叶初精制加工厂有龙凤茶厂、茗香源茶厂，以及映山红农民专业茶叶合作社，全镇以本村的茶厂最多。[1]
